Knowledge Map of this Encyclopedia
Here is a diagram of the knowledge that we are developing in this Encyclopedia and Knowledge Exchange program. These topics are clustered around some common concepts, theories, strategies and interventions (shown in blues & purple around the edge of the diagram) that are applicable to several School-based Multiple Intervention Plans/Programs (SMIP's). Each of these comprehensive approaches, coordinated agency-school programs or whole school strategies have several variations that have been developed by the health, education, law enforcement, environmental and social service/welfare sectors (shown in different colours).
The dotted lines between the various approaches to school-based and school-linked programs are there to indicate that these bodies of knowledge have often been developed independently of each other.
For a downloadable, full page PDF version of this diagram, with web links to several of the topics depicted in the diagram, click here. The topics with web links to summaries already published or being developed in this encyclopedia have the word "web" showing right beside the topic title.
